“ Visited family in queens this past weekend; they suggested Halsey's. The bartender, Kerry, was fantastic. Phenomenal drink reccomendions and very warm service. Looking forward to my next visit! ”
“ Halsey's is a super chill spot to grab a later bite or drink. We just did apps, but they have a full bar and larger handheld entrees. Truffle fries were yum. You can definitely taste the truffle oil (some places barely have any truffle flavor). Crispy mac and cheese wontons were surprisingly good! Think crab rangoons but this inside in mac and cheese instead. The sriracha aioli that came on the side was perfect as well. The wings were a pretty good size. Their BBQ sauce wasn't my favorite (more of a sour taste than sweet) but the wing itself was meaty and cooked very well. I came on a Wednesday night so there wasn't anything going on, but they currently have specials on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (I believe they have Martini Mondays, Mixtape Bingo Tuesdays, Trivia Thursdays, and Karaoke Fridays which all sound so fun). I would say that their kitchen closes around 10pm on weekdays. ”
“ Darrow has so much passion for the job and it shows through his delicious cocktails and amazing service! Excited to come back! ”
“ Halsey's has never missed for us! Whether it's a packed house or we are 1 or 3 groups in the restaurant, the service has been top notch! Darrow was a great server/bartender! He's got the perfect personality and the place lights up when he's around! Great guy! ”
“ Great place for brunch! Servers are so lovely! Definitely recommend. They have outdoor seating if you want to bring your dog/ferret ”
“ Decent local watering hole serving up your typical bar bites and nice selection of beers and cocktails. Daily happy hour and brunch is a bonus. Lively mature crowd with live music on weekend evenings. Friendly service and overall attitude of staff is very upbeat. Not much more to add except good vibes and good times. ”
“ This place has so much going for it! Amazing service, good prices, lots of sports on TV, and special events almost every night of the week. Most of all, it truly felt like a neighborhood bar and was cozy and comfortable even for first timers like us. Will consider making this our local bar (even though we live 20 mins away). Ambiance: 5/5. Lots of seating, but not cramped. Cool wallpaper and posters on the wall, and funny 1940's American commercials in the bathroom. At least 4 tvs with sports on, so it has something for everyone ! Service: 5/5. Truly excellent service, they don't rush you but are attentive. They give water refills when needed, and are very polite. They even moved the table horizontal for us since the wife and I shared a bench seat. Great stuff! Food: 5/5. Very tasty and well priced for the happy hour menu. Had the deviled eggs (Alittle heavy but tasty) and brisket sliders. For $10-$12 per dish, the happy hour was def worth it! Drinks: 4/5. Amazing craft beer on tap, lots of variety. Runs about $7-9 per beer, not bad! The cocktails were super sweet and strong. Not the ideal for me but I can see people enjoying the drinks during a girls night out. Value: great happy hour here! Would come back for the normal menu and try more stuff. ”
“ Itty bit place with a lot of character and delicious cocktails! I met up with a friend here recently and we loved the coziness of the bar along with their great cocktail menu. We both tried the Kentucky kiss and it absolutely hit the spot. They also have non-alcoholic beer which is a good in-between drink. We didn't try food besides the fries but everything we saw looked delicious. This space is small with ample seating outside. Probably better during the warmer months. ”
“ Food was good, service was very good, and the place was very dimly lit. It's the perfect space for privacy and conversation. I ordered the short rib sliders -- flavor was good and the meat was tender. They were a bit lukewarm but still good. The hot honey chicken sandwich was very good, crispy on the outside and moist and succulent on the inside. The Halsey burger was okay-- I ordered it medium well and I'm not a fan of charring which it had a bit of, but it was still a good burger. I would recommend coming here for a quick date, nothing impressive but good food and ambiance. ”
